The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) plans significant drainage upgrades along the James Gichuru Road Junction–Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Highway to improve stormwater management.

• The intervention includes lining the Imara Daima Canal and constructing six culverts.
• KeNHA, in consultation with local leaders and residents, is spearheading these improvements.
• The project aims to enhance road safety and protect infrastructure from damage, particularly in anticipation of the October–December rains.
