Kenyan retailer Quickmart has announced its intention to list on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) Main Investment Market Segment, subject to regulatory approvals. This move will allow Kenyans to own shares in the company.
- Sokoni Retail Kenya Limited will sell 2 billion existing ordinary shares, representing 50 percent of Quickmart’s issued share capital.
- Quickmart Group CEO Peter Kang’iri stated the listing will give Kenyans an opportunity to own a share of the business and raise the company's profile.
