Authorities in Nandi County have seized thousands of bottles of suspected illicit liquor in a multi-agency crackdown targeting counterfeit alcohol. The operation, led by the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA), resulted in significant seizures and arrests.

A total of 4,008 bottles of Kingdom Vodka and 240 bottles of John’s X5 Gin were confiscated.
The operation involved officers from NACADA and the Kapsabet Police Station.
Two suspects were arrested and are facing charges related to violations under the Excise Act and dealing in uncustomed goods, with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) involved in pursuing tax-related offenses.
