Huawei has launched the Watch D3, a new smartwatch featuring an integrated inflatable cuff that measures blood pressure using the oscillometric method, similar to a doctor's cuff.

• The Watch D3 allows for ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), including readings while sleeping, and introduces pre- and post-exercise blood pressure checks.
• The device boasts a slimmer design than its predecessor, the Watch D2, measuring 11.3mm thick, with a battery life of up to six days in normal use or one day with continuous ABPM.
• While certified by the European Union’s medical device approval (CE MDR), Huawei advises users to consult a doctor for diagnosis and medication adjustments based on the readings.
