An ailing 80-year-old widow is appealing to Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral, and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) to release her son’s body for burial, as the family struggles with mounting medical and morgue bills.

• The family owes approximately Sh500,000 in medical and morgue bills for the deceased, Benjamin Ntombura, who died on August 9, 2026.
• The distraught widow, Hellena Kigetu Ntwomo, has seen her health deteriorate due to the prolonged situation.
• KUTRRH management has reportedly remained adamant that 75 percent of the bill must be paid, with a title deed as collateral, before the body can be released.
