The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has expanded its fuel marking program and found 27 petrol stations to be non-compliant after conducting over 10,000 tests nationwide.

• Out of 10,354 fuel tests conducted in the financial year ending June 2026, only 0.64% (27 stations) failed to meet quality and integrity requirements.
• EPRA, the regulatory body overseeing these inspections, imposed penalties on the non-compliant outlets.
• The expanded fuel marking programme now includes petrol and diesel for domestic consumption, aiming to identify products for domestic vs. export markets and detect adulteration.
