Teachers and an MP Demand Release of School Capitation Funds - August 2025

Teachers in Isiolo are urging the government to release capitation funds for free primary and secondary education to schools before the third term begins. They stated this is crucial to ensure that learning activities can commence smoothly without financial impediments. This plea highlights concerns over financial support for education in the region. Separately, Kiharu member of parliament Ndindi Nyoro warned that learning in public schools could come to a halt. Nyoro stated this could occur if the government does not disburse pending capitation funds within the next two weeks, before schools reopen.
