Chaos erupted at Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Mamboleo, Kisumu, as large crowds of mourners caused a stampede while attempting to view the body of Raila Amollo Odinga. The stampede led to several injuries among the crowd. During the event at Mamboleo grounds, several attendees collapsed and required first aid. Additionally, several mourners reportedly fainted while viewing the body at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium. In response to the situation, security forces were augmented at the Mamboleo grounds after a crowd breached barriers, with the aim of restoring order.
