Court Overturns Moses Lenolkulal's Conviction; Waititu Faces New Charges & Obado Plea Deal Collapses - November 2025

Kenya's High Court has overturned the corruption conviction of former Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal, nullifying his eight-year sentence in a case involving Ksh 83 million. Justice Benjamin Musyoki ruled that the prosecution failed to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. In separate legal proceedings, former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu is facing new criminal charges stemming from remarks he made in 2024, adding to his ongoing legal issues.
