Nyamira County Governor Amos Nyaribo has been impeached by the county assembly on allegations of abuse of office. The motion for his impeachment was overwhelmingly supported by a majority of the members. This is the second time Governor Nyaribo has been impeached by the County Assembly. Following the impeachment motion by the ward representatives, the Kenyan Senate is now set to determine the governor's fate.
