Bandit and Poacher Attacks in Meru County Kill at Least 7 People, Including Police Officers - November 2025

Fear has gripped Igembe Central after poachers killed three people and stole livestock. In a separate nighttime raid in Meru County, three people died, three others were injured, and hundreds of livestock were stolen. Another report states that at least seven people, including three police officers, were killed following coordinated bandit attacks across Meru County on Friday. These attacks also resulted in the theft of hundreds of livestock, leaving the community in shock and concern.
