President Ruto Addresses Political Divisions in Kiambu Ahead of January UDA Elections - December 2025

A public disagreement erupted between the Governor of Kiambu and the Member of Parliament for Thika during a church service, in the presence of President Ruto (5). In a separate incident highlighting political tensions, supporters of politicians in Gatundu North publicly clashed with words in front of the President (7). President Ruto later addressed Kiambu residents, encouraging them to choose performing leaders who have delivered tangible results in the upcoming United Democratic Alliance (UDA) elections in January (13). He also stated the January election is for UDA and emphasized that true leadership is devoid of insults and arrogance (12).
