Release of KCSE 2025 Results Marked by School Successes, Technical Glitches and Irregularities - January 2026
Following the release of the 2025 KCSE results, celebrations were ongoing in many schools for exceptional performance. Public national secondary schools in the Coast region achieved a historic turnaround, while Ghanima El-Marzuq Girls Secondary School emerged as the top-performing school in Kajiado County and Maseno School also shined. However, the release was met with frustration due to widespread glitches on the KNEC portal, preventing candidates from accessing their results. The KNEC website experienced a significant outage after a massive surge of users. Furthermore, the results of 1,180 students were canceled due to reported cases of examination irregularities.
