Kenya, Uganda Unite to Restore Mount Elgon Ecosystem - April 2026
Kenya and Uganda are joining forces in a significant cross-border initiative to restore the degraded Mount Elgon ecosystem. Cabinet Secretary Murkomen has officially launched a vital plan aimed at restoring the Cherangany ecosystem. Separately, the Makueni County government has partnered with the World Food Programme to launch a flour fortification program aimed at combating malnutrition and hidden hunger within the region.
