Nine protesters took to the streets of the Nairobi CBD to voice their frustration over the escalating cost of fuel. Similar demonstrations erupted in Mombasa, disrupting the typical morning rush at 9 am. Business owners in the Archives area of Nairobi CBD closed their shops in protest against the latest fuel price hikes, with businesses remaining shut on Wednesday. The National Taxpayers Association issued a warning against inflated Public Service Vehicle fares following the fuel price increase. Reverend Bernard Obuya called for immediate relief measures as fuel costs impact Kenya's economy.
