Lamu County has marked World Mangrove Day by launching a new Mangrove Research Centre at the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) offices in Mokowe. The county, which is home to 61 per cent of Kenya's mangrove cover, says the centre will equip local communities and research
