The Ministry of Sports has announced support for Kenya as it hosts the first continental rafting competition starting today in Sagana. The event has attracted participants from 11 African countries.

• The competition runs from today until Sunday, featuring rafters from names like South Sudan, Sudan, and Uganda.
• Elijah Mwangi, Principal Secretary for Sports, emphasized the ministry's commitment to supporting both local and international sports.
• During trials, Uganda took the lead in the 4.1-kilometre category with a time of 29.23 seconds, followed closely by Kenya at 29.42 seconds.

Bonface Ambani has been elected as the new chairman of AFC Leopards on June 29, 2025, becoming the second former player to lead the club.
