The Bombay High Court has acquitted all 12 individuals, including five previously sentenced to death, in connection with the 2006 Mumbai train blasts that resulted in 189 deaths and over 800 injuries.

The Asset Recovery Agency (ARA) has frozen assets belonging to Judy Chepchirchir, director of First Choice Recruitment and Consultancy Agency Limited, due to accusations of defrauding Kenyans with fake overseas job offers.

• Assets frozen include cars, land, and property; two land blocks in Eldoret are now under a caveat.
• Mark Ogonji, ARA Acting DG, issued a notice prohibiting asset disposal and requiring the surrender of vehicle logbooks.
• The agency has been investigating First Choice Recruitment for possible financial misconduct, estimating refunds of Sh1 billion owed to victims across multiple counties.
