Airtel Kenya recently introduced and then quickly rolled back a 'Home Wi-Fi' management feature within its My Airtel app, designed to allow users to add and manage 5G Smart Connect routers, with manual onboarding proving successful. Meanwhile, Safaricom's 5G router stock, including Huawei H155-382 and Nokia Gateway 2 models, is largely depleted on Masoko, following a price drop to KES 2,999 and expanding 5G coverage in the country. In a related development, PayPal is set to discontinue its PayPal-MobileMoney.com portal for M-PESA transfers by August 16, 2025, requiring Kenyan users to transition to the dedicated PayPal mini-app within the M-PESA Super App for all future transactions.
