Airtel Africa Foundation has launched its ‘Tech For Her’ Program, a pan-African initiative aiming to equip young women in Kenya, Uganda, and Zambia with digital skills for the tech industry.

Airtel Money Africa has expanded its five-year partnership with pan-African payments provider pawaPay, enabling inbound international remittances across seven key markets. This collaboration allows International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs) to send funds directly to over 161 million Airtel Money mobile wallets in real time.

• The expanded service covers Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, Malawi, Gabon, Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville), and Tanzania.
• pawaPay's infrastructure handles over 4 million transactions per day with a 99.9% platform uptime.
• Airtel Africa plans to take its Airtel Money arm public in the first half of 2026.
