The number of road accidents in Kenya is reportedly increasing, leading to public pressure on the government to take decisive action. In one recent tragic incident, 27 fatalities were reported from a road crash, with twenty-two families collecting the bodies of their loved ones from the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary. In response to the issue, Roads and Transport CS David Chirchir has announced a raft of new road safety regulations.
