Government Push for E-Procurement System Sparks Debate - September 2025
Public Service CS Ruku has declared that e-procurement is now mandatory for all Government agencies and counties. Controller of Budget Dr. Margaret Nyakang'o has also urged Kenyan counties to adopt the new e-procurement system to enhance transparency and efficiency. This initiative has led to a debate over the eGP (e-Government Procurement) system, which has caused a division between Members of Parliament and governors.
