Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja avoided a potential impeachment following interventions by Raila Odinga, who engaged with Members of County Assembly (MCAs). This has raised questions about whether the governor will survive another impeachment wave. Following a meeting with President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga, it was agreed that the governor and MCAs would have 60 days to address grievances. Nairobi lawmakers have since challenged Governor Sakaja to use this period to fix the issues raised by the MCAs.
