The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has summoned eight Nakuru County officials for questioning. The summons is related to the alleged illegal payment of Ksh 22 million to various law firms. The investigation targets irregular payments reportedly made between 2021 and 2023. The officials called for questioning include both current and former Nakuru county chief officers. The EACC expects the officials to appear to address the accusations of misuse of public funds.
