DCI Officer Arrested for Fatally Shooting Two Boda Boda Riders in Thika - September 2025

An officer from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) fatally shot two boda boda riders in Thika, Kiambu County. The incident occurred near Makongeni Police Station following a minor traffic accident involving the officer's car and a motorcycle. The two motorcycle riders were tragically killed after being shot by the detective following the road accident. The DCI officer was arrested in Thika for the shooting. The incident occurred after a collision involving the officer's vehicle and the motorcycle.
