Kilifi County Suspends Krishna Foundation Food Aid Over Mandatory Hindi Prayers - September 2025

The Kilifi County Government has suspended food aid distribution by the Krishna Foundation to schools in the Ganze area. This decision follows reports that students were being required to recite Hindi prayers before receiving meals. The program, run by a Hindu organization, was providing food to students across 17 schools in Ganze. The Kenyan government suspended the program after these reports surfaced. One story reported that schools in Ganze, Kilifi, would be required to say prayers in Hindi after receiving the food aid.
