ODM Endorses UDA Candidate for Nov. 27 By-Election and Addresses 2027 Plans - September 2025
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has publicly endorsed United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate David Ndakwa for the Malava parliamentary by-election, which is scheduled for November 27, 2025. In a separate development, ODM leader Raila Odinga announced that the party has not yet chosen its flagbearer for the 2027 General Election, cautioning members against pre-empting decisions. Mr. Odinga also emphasized the importance of working with the Kenya Kwanza government. Meanwhile, concerning the November mini-polls, Kenya’s opposition coalition has formally asked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for information on its compliance with the Constitution and relevant laws. This move suggests potential concerns over the IEBC's adherence to due diligence in its operations.
