Courts Halt New KWS Park Fees and Postpone National Police Recruitment - October 2025
The Milimani High Court has issued temporary orders blocking the Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) from implementing new park entry fees. The case was filed by the Kenya Tourism Federation, and the revised fees, which began on October 1, were suspended pending a hearing. In a separate judicial action, the National Police Service (NPS) has indefinitely postponed a mass police recruitment exercise. The postponement follows interim conservatory orders issued by the Employment and Labour Relations Court. The recruitment was originally scheduled to start on Friday, October 3.
