The status of healthcare in Kiambu County is under scrutiny following a four-month strike by health workers. The Anglican Church of Mt. Kenya South Diocese has criticized the poor state of healthcare services in the county. The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) made claims that 136 infants died in county hospitals as a result of the ongoing doctors' strike. The Kiambu County Government has strongly refuted these allegations, terming the claims as malicious and baseless.
