The One UI 8 update featuring Android 16 is now rolling out to Samsung Galaxy A34 5G, Galaxy A26 5G, and Galaxy A15 5G smartphones in East Africa. This update follows a similar rollout for the Galaxy A35 in the region.

• The update is live for devices with firmware CSC AFR/USC across East African markets.
• Firmware versions include A346EXXUAEYI7 for Galaxy A34 5G, A266BXXU4BYI2 for Galaxy A26 5G, and A156EDXU6DYIA for Galaxy A15 5G.

The Samsung Galaxy A35 in Kenya has begun receiving the One UI 8 (Android 16) update, with firmware version A356EXXU5CYI8. This rollout makes the A35 the first A-series midrange device from 2025 to get the new firmware in the region, while the Galaxy A55 continues to await the update locally.

• The One UI 8 update is also available for Galaxy A35 units in other East African countries, including Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Uganda.
• The Galaxy A55, despite being a higher-tier model, has not yet received the update in Kenya, though it is live in some other markets, including Samsung's home country.
