IEBC Manages Preparations for Banisa and Malava By-Elections - October 2025

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is managing activities for upcoming by-elections. The commission has directed its officers to maintain political neutrality during preparations for by-elections scheduled for November 27. For the Banisa parliamentary seat, the IEBC has officially cleared Ahmed Maalim Hassan, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate, to contest. In a separate race, candidates from the Democratic Congress Party (DCP) and Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) are set to face off in the Malava By-election.
