Companies Including McDonald's and Roblox Face Scrutiny Over Safety and Exploitation - November 2025
McDonald’s is implementing new sexual harassment training for managers and strengthening measures to protect staff from abuse, following an agreement with the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and a BBC investigation. Separately, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has sued the online gaming platform Roblox, accusing it of “flagrantly ignoring” safety laws and “deceiving parents” about the dangers it poses to young users. The lawsuit claims Roblox is a “breeding ground for predators” that prioritizes profit over child safety. Additionally, a UK-registered website, Kenya Horn Hub, is under scrutiny for allegedly advertising "adult tours" in Kenya, which rights groups claim promotes sexual exploitation and has led to calls for investigations.
