Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers are urging the government to grant them permanent and pensionable employment. In Kericho County, JSS teachers are demanding the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) convert their employment terms. Science teachers in Kericho have warned they will not resume the new academic term without permanent employment contracts. Similarly, contract teachers in Migori County are urging the government for permanent jobs as their contracts expire. The teachers are also expressing grievances over conflicting statements from various education officials, which has led to uncertainty about their employment.
