Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has formally reported alleged threats against him to Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja ahead of his upcoming visit to Mbeere North. Gachagua demanded the immediate arrest of individuals seen in a viral video allegedly threatening him and his campaign efforts.

• Gachagua accused the police of inaction regarding previous incidents and warned IG Kanja could face the International Criminal Court (ICC).
• The former DP is scheduled to campaign in Mbeere North Constituency from November 16 to November 24 for the by-election candidate backed by the opposition.
• Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) Party Leader Moses Kuria also claimed a planned attack against Gachagua over an alleged Ksh10 million debt, with individuals posing as CCK members.

A political rally led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and other opposition leaders in Gilgil, Nakuru County, was disrupted by suspected goons on Tuesday afternoon. Residents scattered for safety as objects were thrown, leading to a temporary halt in the proceedings.

• Opposition leaders accused local leaders allied with President William Ruto's administration of orchestrating the attack, with Wamalwa specifically criticizing Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika.
