Opposition Files Suit Over Presidential Vote Count and Campaigns in Magarini By-election - November 2025
The opposition in Kenya has filed a case in the High Court seeking to restrict the counting of presidential votes solely to local polling stations. According to a case filed by United Opposition leaders, the move is an attempt to block a full re-verification of the presidential polls. Separately, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka campaigned in Magarini Constituency for DCP candidate Stanley Karisa Kenga ahead of the November 27 by-election. Musyoka stated that an opposition win would strengthen their readiness to face President William Ruto in 2027. He also criticized the UDA regime for failing to lower the cost of living and for increasing taxation.
