Kenyan Teams and Athletes Secure Victories in Basketball, Boxing, and Deaflympics - November 2025
The Nairobi City Thunder secured their second consecutive bid to the Basketball Africa League (BAL) by winning the Road to BAL Elite 16 East Division tournament with an unbeaten run at Kasarani Indoor Arena. In boxing, the Kenya Police team clinched the National Boxing League title, triumphing over rivals Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) after careful planning and strict training. At the Tokyo 2025 Summer Deaflympics, Ian Wambui Kahinga emerged as Kenya's new star, winning the men's 5000m race and shattering two global records to replace decorated athlete Simon Kibai Cherono.
