IEBC Deploys Security and Finalizes Preparations for By-Elections - November 2025

Preparations are complete for the upcoming by-elections this Thursday, with enhanced security measures put in place. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) confirmed its readiness after a security meeting. Ahead of the by-election in Kasipul Constituency, 900 security officers have been deployed to ensure peace and security. The IEBC also announced enhanced security measures for Mbeere North constituency and stated it will deploy both plain-clothes and uniformed police officers to hotly contested areas. In Mbeere North, IEBC's top officials met with security personnel to ensure a smooth electoral process.
