Safaricom has increased its support for Kenyan drivers and boda boda riders through a mobility workforce festival in Nairobi, aiming to boost their earnings, safety, and financial security.

• Over 200 drivers and riders participated in the event, which was part of Safaricom's Shangwe @25 celebrations.
• Key organizations involved included NTSA, DTB Bank, Turaco, Centonomy, and Vivo Energy Kenya.

Kenya Airways (KQ) has appointed Captain George Kamal as its Acting Group Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding Allan Kilavuka whose tenure concludes.

• Captain George Kamal assumes the role effective December 16, 2025.
• Allan Kilavuka is departing after a six-year stint with the national carrier.
• Kamal brings over 29 years of aviation leadership experience and currently serves as KQ's Chief Operating Officer.

Individual investors overwhelmingly led Safaricom's first-ever green bond issuance, which was formally listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE). The bond attracted applications totaling Sh41.4 billion, significantly oversubscribed by 175 percent.

• Safaricom will take up Sh20 billion in the initial tranche, marking the largest green bond issuance in Kenya to date.
• A total of 2,453 retail investors participated, with 59 percent of applications and payments largely processed through USSD and M-PESA.
