• Kibugu climbed 2,149 places in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) from 3,508 to 1,359 globally.

Edwin Kiptoo emerged as the overall winner of the 2025 Captain's (Omar Lewa) Prize Golf tournament at Nyali Golf and Country Club in Mombasa County on Sunday, besting 248 other competitors.
