Kenya to Host AFCON 2027, Magical Kenya Open, and Sirikwa Classic - February 2026
CAF President Patrice Motsepe has confirmed that the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. In other sports news, Sigona Golf Club's Mohit Mediratta is the latest Kenyan golfer confirmed for the upcoming Magical Kenya Open (MKO). His addition brings the total number of Kenyan professionals to 11 for the tournament, which is scheduled for February 19-22 at Karen Golf and Country Club in Nairobi. Additionally, the fifth edition of the Sirikwa Classic World Cross-Country Tour is set for a showdown in Eldoret, Kenya. Elite athletes from nations including Uganda, South Africa, Tanzania, and Germany will compete against Kenyan stars at Lobo Village.
