Hundreds of mourners, including senior government officials and members of parliament, gathered for a joint funeral service to honor the six victims of a recent helicopter crash. The victims included Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johana Ngeno and five other individuals. A candle lighting event was held separately in Eldoret to honor the late MP. The Kipsigis Myoot Elders Council announced plans for a purification ceremony following the tragic deaths, aiming to prevent similar future calamities. KANU Chairman Gideon Moi visited and condoled with the family. Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga urged politicians against interpreting malice in the crash. The Kenyan government, through Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, pledged ongoing support for the families. Naiyanoi Ntutu penned a heartfelt tribute to her late husband, describing the loss as akin to losing the music of her youth.
