15 killed after trailer ploughs into rescuers at Malaha near Webuye - March 2026

A tragic incident near Webuye resulted in 15 fatalities when a trailer lost control and plowed into rescuers and onlookers at Malaha. The same highway was the site of another accident earlier that killed 14 people when a truck crashed into a crowd assisting victims of the initial crash. In Kisumu, a multi-vehicle accident on the Kisumu-Busia road claimed three lives and left five hospitalized, with Duale's motorcade assisting rescue efforts. Meanwhile in Nairobi, a motorcycle rider died on Valley Road near Integrity Centre after a multiple-vehicle collision.
