Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has presented himself before the Senate following his defiance of previous summons, amidst failed attempts to have him arrested. This comes after a dramatic standoff where police surrounded his office. Governors are insisting they will not appear before the CPAC (Public Accounts Committee) while senators demand the arrest of both Sakaja and Governor Lati Lelelit. Samburu leaders are also opposing an order for the apprehension of Governor Lati Lelelit, citing his alleged boycott of Senate committee sessions.
