Over 100 families in Marurui, Nairobi, have been rendered homeless following the demolition of their high-end homes on a disputed land parcel. The bulldozers began flattening the properties on Monday along the Northern Bypass. Separately, a troubling situation has emerged regarding students promised free secondary education who have now failed to continue their studies. Some students from Mukuru estate in Nairobi report being sent home from school just days after admission. Meanwhile, President William Ruto has facilitated a significant improvement in the living conditions of Jackson Tito, a 14-year-old boy from Dandora, by providing a new home and school support for him and his siblings.
