Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi has announced that the recent fuel shortage has been resolved, attributing it to an administrative and technical hitch. However, Kenyans across the country, particularly in Nairobi and other major towns, had expressed widespread frustration over persistent fuel shortages with many petrol stations running dry. This situation had significantly impacted the private sector in April, as escalating fuel prices influenced by the Middle East conflict led to increased business expenses and a downturn in consumer spending. Meanwhile, Information and Communication Technology Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo had stated that there was adequate fuel supply despite the public complaints.
