The Attorney-General has argued in court that judges cannot overturn Parliament's impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, asserting the process is a political decision. The AG defended the nomination of Prof Kithure Kindiki as DP, stating it requires only National Assembly approval, not clearance from the IEBC. This legal argument comes as Kenya Revenue Authority Chairman Ndiritu Muriithi has announced he will not join Rigathi Gachagua's Democratic Citizens Party, instead forming a new party to run for the Laikipia governor seat.
