The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) is launching a nationwide 10-day virtual sensitisation programme ahead of the official rollout of its eLogbook system on June 10, 2026, which will replace paper-based logbooks. The NTSA defended its shift to electronic logbooks, stating it is crucial to enhance vehicle registration efficiency and bolster road safety. It assured staff that the transition would not lead to job losses despite fears of sacking over 200 employees. The NTSA listed 10 features of the new e-logbooks set ahead of the rollout designed to curb fraud and improve efficiency.
