The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has assured its staff that the transition to a new e-logbook system will not lead to job losses.

• Approximately 200 staff involved in manual logbook processing will be retrained and redeployed to roles in enforcement and compliance.
• NTSA Director General Nashon Kondiwa stated that this retraining will equip staff with skills to become transport specialists and road safety specialists.
• The digital shift is expected to create new job opportunities in areas like digital compliance and IT support, while also addressing issues of fake logbooks.
