Kenya is preparing to host the UFAK Region East Karate Championship 2026 from May 28 to 31 at the Nyayo Gymnasium, bringing together elite karatekas from across the East African region. The event marks a significant sporting occasion for Kenya as it welcomes regional karate talent. Separately, the Kenya Lionesses will kick off their 2026 Rugby Africa Women's Cup Performance Division campaign against rivals Uganda Lady Cranes on Saturday at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi. Meanwhile, Kenya Sevens (Shujaa) coach Kelvin Wambua named a squad for the upcoming World SVNS Championship legs, featuring a maiden call-up for national star Victor Odhiambo Mola. The fifth edition of the Nairobi City Marathon is also set to be a historic event, attracting elite athletes and a record number of participants from around the globe.
