President William Ruto has defended the government's decision to establish an Ebola quarantine facility within Kenya, stating they will not stop building the Ebola quarantine centre and are not going to consult citizens. Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Health, Aden Duale, briefed Parliament on the country's Ebola preparedness. A U.S. Congressional committee has reportedly criticized plans for an Ebola center in Kenya amidst the protests.
